Business Development Associate – Remote, U.S. (Contract)

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join our team. The role will focus on lead generation, business development, relationship management, and sales tracking to drive revenue and growth. This part-time, contract position offers flexibility (typically 10-15 hours per week), and the ideal candidate will bring business development experience, self-motivation, and a results-driven mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Generation & Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential clients using research and personalized outreach.

  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified leads by engaging with decision-makers.

  • Leverage industry knowledge to craft tailored sales pitches and solutions for prospects.

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy focused on long-term growth.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and prospects.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.

  • Regularly check in with clients to ensure needs are met and identify opportunities for continued collaboration.

  • Foster a client-first approach, focused on understanding and solving client challenges.

Sales Tracking & Reporting:

  • Track sales activities and progress within the sales pipeline using CRM tools.

  • Report on lead generation efforts, conversions, and overall sales performance.

  • Monitor KPIs such as outreach volume, meeting schedules, and deal closures.

  • Provide weekly updates to the executive team on sales results and opportunities for improvement.

Market Research & Industry Insights:

  • Conduct research on emerging industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.

  • Compile and present reports on market conditions, potential clients, and competitor insights.

  • Keep up-to-date with supply chain challenges and innovations to better serve clients and inform business strategies.

Sales Support & Client Onboarding:

  • Assist in preparing presentations and proposals for potential clients.

  • Support the sales process by coordinating initial meetings, client onboarding, and follow-ups.

  • Ensure a smooth transition from lead generation to sales and client onboarding.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Proven experience in business development, lead generation, or sales, ideally in consulting or B2B environments.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with C-suite executives.

  • Comfortable with CRM tools and sales tracking software

  • Self-motivated, with a strong drive to meet or exceed sales goals.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time role.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies.

  • Familiarity with the supply chain, consulting, or professional services industries.

  • Ability to craft personalized outreach strategies and tailored sales approaches.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

JOB DETAILS

Job Type: Part-time, fractional

Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour + Commission

Expected hours: 10-15 hours per week
